“God didn’t give you the best, because he saved the best for last.”
Kelvin graduated from a university in Taiwan, and during that time, he also was in a relationship. When he thought the feelings were mutual, he tried to propose to her parents.
Unfortunately, it was not successful. Her parents strongly opposed of their relationship because Kelvin was three years younger than their daughter. Eventually their feelings and relationship fell through.
After this relationship, Kelvin’s confidence faced a major turning point. He considered himself unworthy of happiness and didn’t expect another love affair.
After Kelvin came to HKRD, Yubi found Vivian. She had taught in Thailand as a local Mandarin professor, and is now teaching chinese at a primary school in Hong Kong.
HKRD arranged a romantic date night full of food and talk, and quickly, Kelvin was fascinated by Vivian’s gentle yet independent character. With her own style and ideas, she was definitely different from other Taiwanese girls. After a few dates, Kelvin set out with a brave confession. Vivian failed to accept, thinking everything was going too fast.
Disappointed as he was, Kelvin didn’t give up. He called Yubi, and was advised to withstand. After a month, Kelvin knew it was time for his confession. He deliberately booked a candlelit dinner and sent flowers.
Vivian had no excuse to refuse. Afterall, she understood how Kelvin was being careful, thoughtful, and sincere. It is these basic necessities that she was searching for, and Vivian didn’t want to leave Kelvin disappointed.
“You are what I have been searching for…”
