Breastfeeding, Best Feeding

“Milk you Made out of Love”

May 8th, 2016

The lack of support for breastfeeding in Hong Kong, whether in terms of corporate policies, or in public space facilities, is awaiting improvement. The JCI Young Women’s Association has organized a “Breastfeeding Love” campaign on Mother’s Day to raise public awareness of breastfeeding, calling for support for mothers who breastfeed.
The event was officiated by the Secretary for Food and Health, Mr. Paul Ko; the deputy Secretary, Professor Chan Siu-Chi, the officiating guest; the event ambassadors, Yang Xinyue; and some breastfeeding mothers to share their experiences; and HK Romance Dating founder Anita was also honored to be invited to be master of ceremonies.

To understand the public’s perception and understanding of breastfeeding, a public questionnaire was conducted with 1,500 residents online and in the subway. Members were also urged to sign a Letter of Support for breastfeeding to eliminate the misunderstanding of breastfeeding in public places. This way, children will grow up healthier, by promoting the act and providing mothers with safe communities to take care of their children.
